Data Deletion
Last Updated: September 18, 2026. This page is the single place to remove TelyChat AI's access to your data and to erase what we hold. Platform reviewers (Meta, TikTok, Google and others) point here as our official deletion instructions. Background on what we keep and why is in our Privacy Policy; the service rules are in our Terms of Service.
1. The 2-minute self-serve path (do this first)
- Sign in at telychat.com/app and open Settings → Channels.
- Disconnect each channel you want gone. Disconnecting revokes our tokens immediately and stops all future syncing and publishing from that channel.
- Then remove TelyChat's access on the platform side too (section 2) — both sides matter, because the platform's grant survives until you revoke it there.
Disconnecting alone does not erase already-imported workspace data (FAQs, conversation history). For erasure, continue to section 3.
2. Revoking access on each platform
- Google (Gmail / YouTube): open your Google Account → Security → Third-party access → remove TelyChat AI. Gmail and YouTube are separate consents, so remove each entry you granted.
- TikTok: TikTok app → Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Authorized apps → remove TelyChat AI. If you connected both Login Kit and Messaging, remove both authorizations.
- Facebook / Instagram / Messenger: Facebook Settings → Business integrations (or Settings → Apps and websites) → remove TelyChat AI; in the Instagram app, Settings → Website permissions → remove TelyChat AI.
- Telegram: nothing to revoke centrally — deleting the bot token from Settings → Channels severs the link; you can also delete the bot via @BotFather.
- Pinterest, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Discord, Slack, Mastodon and others: use each platform's authorized-apps / connected-accounts page to revoke TelyChat AI.
- WhatsApp: disconnect the number in Settings → Channels (or your WhatsApp Business provider dashboard) so no new messages flow in.
3. Erasing your workspace data (email request)
- Email [email protected] from your account email with subject "Delete my data" and tell us the scope: one channel, several channels, or the entire workspace.
- We verify you own the account (reply from the account email, plus workspace name), then erase the requested scope: channel rows and tokens, imported FAQs and media you point at, and conversation history in scope.
- You get a written confirmation listing exactly what was erased and what, if anything, the law required us to keep (section 4).
Timelines: channel tokens die the moment you disconnect (section 1). Email erasure requests are completed within 30 days, usually much sooner; urgent cases (account compromise, a child's data) are prioritized on sight. Backups roll off on their own cycle afterwards and are never used to restore erased workspaces.
4. What we may have to keep
A short list survives erasure where the law or safety demands it: billing records for tax and accounting periods, security logs kept just long enough to investigate abuse, and anything under a court order or active legal hold. Everything else in scope goes. We will name any retained items and their legal basis in your confirmation email.
5. Cancelling vs deleting
Cancelling your subscription (Billing settings) stops future charges and deactivates the workspace, but does not itself erase data: deactivated workspaces delete automatically after 30 days. If you want erasure sooner — or want selected channels erased while keeping the account — use the section 3 request instead of waiting.
6. Questions
Anything unclear, or a request that does not fit the boxes above: [email protected]. We answer every deletion request, and data-protection complaints can also go to your supervisory authority without affecting your other rights.
